  1. got my weekend pass! can’t wait

  2. Wow! If the last hour is any indication of how this show is going to be attendance wise then we are in for a good time my friends!

  3. I heard some glowing praise for this show on DeadPit.com’s MySpace show this week!!!! Sounds like a winner!!!!!!!!

  4. I got my tickets by the way! Yeah!!!!!!!!!

  5. If someone was to get the $25 Day Pass, does anyone have any idea what the best day to show up would be?

  6. Saturday or Sunday.

  7. That was a good show about the F13 30th convention!!!

    convention show

  8. I don’t recall these guys ever being at one of my shows, so I guess they are getting their information from other people as usual! WOW! Oh well, promotion is promotion though!

  9. Uncle Bill and the Creepy Kentuckain were being pretty harsh, I just listened to what they had to say, maybe it’s some sort of promotion for Scarefest or something, since their going to be at that next year, who knows, but anyways, let’s not let it spoil the fun for the whole F13 community!

  10. How do you plan on keeping Steve Dash from kicking Warrington Gilette’s ass if something is to happen? Lol

  11. I don’t recall these guys ever being at one of my shows, so I guess they are getting their information from other people as usual! WOW!

    Yeah, whatever! lol

  12. I guess they just imagined the email from the website guy about Tobe Hooper then????

If I go to this thing, the bigest guest better well show!!!

  13. John, I fired you on off an e-mail as I wanted to know if the full weekend passes (all three days) tickets may view the 35mm film print screeings of the old school Paramount FRiday’s, and do you know yet on which days they’ll be, and of which films yet (provided you do know)?

    Thanks.

  14. Whoa, I was just listening to the good ol’ boys of eatern Prestonsburg, Kentucky on they’re MySpace mini show, and I also downloaded they’re latest, and I hope they’re just jealous and maybe pulled some stuff out of they’re collective asses.

I honestly am looking VERY forward to this convention, and hope my questions are answered soon, and I still a pretty big fan of deadpit.com, but I’m hoping that none of this shit they’re saying is true. I will say, however, that it’s only their opinion that nobody wants to meet a lot of these seminal classis slasher stars. Chould help but notice they truely shit on them, and they didn’t desurve it. Outside of the Mid-South region, nobody would wanna see them as well, no offence.

    Just my two cents.

  15. Brandon, the weekend pass is simply to get into the show. Everything else is extra… the gold and platinum passes get you into all the events, the screenings, and the concert. Not to mention, you get the limited edition poster for free ($30 value).

As for the Dead Pit fellas, they seem nice enough and I respect what they have got going on. But the whole reason they hate me is because they sent two of their “represanatives” to Fear Fest 2 to cover the event and do some interviews with the celebs. So I hooked them up with a table (right between Gunnar Hansen and Kane Hodder mind you) which I gave to them for free (a $200 value). I had told them months prior I would give them a space in the green room to do the interviews, which I totally intended on doing for ALL the press affiliates. Long story short I didn’t deliver their “quiet room”, so they felt cheated because I simply had too much going on (with the blizzard, the flight cancellations due to the blizzard etc…) to stop the show and get them “quiet time” with 70+ celebs. Honestly, it turned out to be the least of my worries, which I had assumed they understood, because they were nice as pie to my face. Not to mention, all of the other press, including major networks like the local FOX affiliate were fine with. They wound up getting PLENTY of interviews which they promoted the hell out of on the site, stayed at the show all weekend, got autographs etc… then trashed the living hell out of the show, and me. In fact, got rather personal with the trash talk. In turn, it pissed me off after what I felt I had done for them, and told them they were never allowed at any of my shows again.

And you know, I’m definitely not one to hold a grudge, so I posted a message on their forum today inviting them back to the show, and even advised them they could have press passes and snag as many interviews as they want, as long as they don’t rely on me to make those interviews happen. And that was AFTER I had listened to the further trash talk on their August 5th pod cast. It just does not matter to me in the least. They are actually doing me a favor by continuing to talk about the show, and let people know it’s happening. Good or bad, press is press… so if they really hated me and wanted to see the show fail, they’d just leave it be.

But honestly, I think it’s mainly because I booked my show (months ago) on the same weekend they planned to do their show. And that was the studios call… I wanted to actually do it earlier in the year, but they wanted to do it on F13th weekend, which in all honesty makes perfect sense and is a very cool novelty. I typically try my damnedest to make sure we don’t book our events on the same weekend as other shows. Not good for me or the fans… but since they had not promoted the fact this was “their date”, how the hell would I know? Friday the 30th has been in the works for over 6 months, and is not an easy event to pull off. Just look at our amazing guest list! And they say no one wants to meet these people? That’s an insult in my opinion. If you aren’t excited about this event, the damn… you just ain’t a Friday the 13th fan, that’s for sure.

“I guess they just imagined the email from the website guy about Tobe Hooper then????

If I go to this thing, the bigest guest better well show!!!”

To answer your question… which I’m not so sure I understand, but I suppose it’s regarding cancellations? Sadly, cancellations due happen at EVERY show I’ve ever attended, but I’ll give you a break down of the supposed major cancellations at our last 3 events. At Fear Fest 1 we had 5 out of 60 guests cancel including Tobe Hooper, who cancelled on SHOW DAY because of an ear infection. Fear Fest 2 we had over 70 guests, with 6 cancellations… none of them major. And finally, Fear Fest 3, we had 2 cancellations out of 45 guests. The entire cast of F13th 5 was there, including Feldman. That’s a fairly decent ratio considering the amount of people that did actually show… and to date, we still hold the record for the largest Elm Street reunion in history. So in 3 years and 3 shows, we have had 13 guests cancel, and brought in 175 horror celebs to TX.

Anyway, I really meant for this to be a short post because I promised myself early in the day (since it’s my son’s 9th birthday and we just got home from a SCORCHING day at Six Flags) that I wouldn’t put out too much energy on this nor justify ANY of my actions. It just IS what it IS.

It STILL amazes me to this day that I’ll either have staunch supporters that will stand by my side and fight to the death, or have people that absolutely want to destroy me and my show at all costs. Never seen anything like it in all honesty… but it’s been like this even before we had a convention. Just people that hated me because of Pit of Horror and Guts and Gory. I find it amusing actually… it’s like seriously man, you ain’t got nothing better to do than trash someone you don’t even know on the internet? To me, it’s low and spineless because of the anonymity of it all. It’s so easy to be big behind a key board, but when I have actually run into some of my haters in person (and yes, it has happened on multiple occasions), they are always SOOOO nice and despite whatever they have done or said, I’ll shake their hand and buy em a beer.

This is not my living, it’s my passion. I do this for me just as much as you guys. I have a family, 2 kids, and a fat ass dog, so haters around the net have never gotten me down. But hey, I’ll keep fighting the good fight and keep doing great shows that people actually come to. That’s more than I can say for some conventions.

  16. FYI - this will give you all a break down on the history of Fear Fest and who actually has attended our shows. For being a relatively new show, I think the guests we have brought in are nothing short of amazing.

    You be the judge.

  17. Hey everyone,
I think that people should all be entitled to their opinion. If the guys at Deadpit feel the way they do, then they must have felt their experience with Fearfest was a bad one. However, everything is a matter of perspective. I still think that Camp Blood has already assembled an impressive guest list and should not be ignored. All I am saying is that don’t let other people’s perceived bad experiences sway you away from what is going to be an awesome event.

Don’t cheat yourslef out of a Happy Friday the 13th!!

  18. Preach on brutha! I assure you, this will be the event of a lifetime.

  19. THank you once again, John, for clearing that up. Look’s like I’ll half to splurge on my ticket ordering, cause seeing all of the 35mm print screenings of the old school Friday the 13th’s are one of the top four reasons I honestly wanna check out the show. That and plus the fact that I’m just a major old school Paramount-era fanatic of the frenchise. Must say I’ve heard them talk negativity and smack and the Friday alumni in the past, such as Mr. Larry Zerner and the like and Stu Churno, and I just feel it’s cause of misunderstanding’s, or simply because they weren’t in Uncle Bill and The Creepy Kentuckian’s favorite respective instalment(s). Part V, which is fair enough, seem’s to be all they ever wish to discuss, Friday wise.

And I TRUELY apprehciate the clear up, as I now know the full sotry after wondering for the last hour, and I’m truely disappointed in both Wes (Creepy’s real name) and Aron (Uncle Bill’s real name respectiveally). That was over all VERY immature of them, I feel.

    Thank you, once again.

By the way: Will we recieve the exclusive poster mentioned on the site once we get our tickets, as I’d LOVE to get some signatures on there. Once again, thank you for being a voice of reason. Bless.

  20. I don’t want to light fuel on the fire either! So I just want to say the DP guys are the most stand up, honest guys out their in the horror comunity. Any bad mouthing about those two is just shamefull period!!!! By the way, Winkepdia is a joke for info and anyone can post anything on there, but whatever. I supposrt horror, and horror conventions. I will personally be attending Fright Night Film Fest next year.

  21. ” I still think that Camp Blood has already assembled an impressive guest list and should not be ignored. All I am saying is that don’t let other people’s perceived bad experiences sway you away from what is going to be an awesome event.

Don’t cheat yourslef out of a Hapy Friday the 13th!!”

Great words there, Jasonsfury. Truely. Indeed: They have they’re opinion, but I see now that it is a very false one, from my perspective. And I fully agree that none of us should miss out on this historical Friday get-togther, if your a big time and true fanatic like all of us.

I just hope there’ll be plenty of old school Friday’s projected on a big screen, as I MUCH prefer that to music. I’m sorry but I am just not that into music; it’s fine for who is, but I’d much rather see 3 or more of the Paramount-era films projected through light, up on a big screen with alarge, apprechiative audieance myself. But I want the music lovers as well to have a good time as FirstJason or whomever performs, ect.

  22. Well, there will be plenty of “old school Friday’s” on the big screen and music as well. We have this planned out to be able to include both.

As for the wiki page, I personally keep that updated, so it’s 100% legit.

  23. If you believe the Winks author for that page!

  24. “If you believe the Winks author for that page!”

    ????

  25. “Well, there will be plenty of “old school Friday’s” on the big screen and music as well. We have this planned out to be able to include both.”

Haha, I thankfully finally got an e-mail responce about that, and when someone at The Pit mentioned a classic Jason line-up of Parts 2-through-5, I nearly playfully pissed myself, as those are my favorites. I am SO gonna be there :D *wicked grin*

  26. I meant the Wiks page, as in Wikipdia. Unfortionately you can write, and say anything on those things. Doesn’t mean anything. Wikipedia is so unreliable for info that is true.

  27. I meant the Wiks page, as in Wikipedia. Unfortionately you can write, and say anything on those things. Doesn’t mean anything. Wikipedia is so unreliable for info that is true.

  28. What I’m telling you is GOTCHA21, I personally added the info to the wiki page. Since those people actually attended my last 3 events, I felt compelled to make sure people were aware.

  29. Not that it surprises me, but “Gotcha21″ is also “Jason’s Blade” who posted above earlier about DeadPit. He also is the same guy who was posting some unkind words about the 30th Reunion on another blog posting a week before under three other different names.

So, dude, what is your issue. If you don’t want to go to this event, then that is your purogative. But to keep posting negative comments about this event is just childish. If you have other motives, then please post about this at another forum as this crap gets tiring after awhile.

  30. Why am I not surprised. I just told Jason in an email this was prolly the same dude with the same agenda. Honestly its just sad…

  31. I’m sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the first event. However, to go through all of this trouble, posting under 6 different names and writing numerous negative posts is very deceitful and frankly childish. Please keep your comments here to things about the franchise. I hate pissing matches and would prefer that you do not use this great website for your own personal vendettas. Thank you.

  32. Nothing I said was wrong! But I will keep the peace now! The people need to know these things1!!! I had to fly a good distance for this show. But I doubt that guy could care less. IT REALLY SUCKS!!!

    Take care Jasonfury!

  33. Dude, you do realize you are talkin about tobe hooper right? The guy with the single worst track record on bailing on conventions at the last minute right? Besides, what would you have done had you known? Cancel a non refundable plane/convention ticket over one guest? Anyways, you lost all credibility with me and the people here with your childish and deceitful behavior. Lame!

  34. My attacks on Loyd? Refundable plane tickets? What fairy tale planet do you live on? You should also either learn to spell or not type so fast… you are really making yourself look silly.

And again, there is no truth to any of what you are saying… Hooper cancelled because he was ILL, how is that supposed to be my fault. And *IF* it were true that I knew a week before as you, wouldn’t I be the only one that knew? So how exactly could the truth leak out? Quit making stuff up and leave this thread for people that want to actually come to my show.

Not to mention, this is 2024 and 3 shows later… time to let it go buddy. It will be okay.

  35. Wow, what`s here going on?

Guys, I`m sure, if you follow the official website, possible changes of the program and further details will be listed in a regular basis and also until the last day.

So please make sure to check out our chats here, on http://www.FridayThe30th.com and on Guts&Gory to get the NEWS. I`m really sorry if anything was not 100% sophisticated during their last event, however I`m sure the promoters took their lession out of it, as it`s the nature of retirate.

I`m really looking forward to this event and hope you like the agenda as it looks for now. Be sure many cool parts will be added soon! We are actually working on something the WHOLE Jason community was waiting for. Stay tuned for details. The idea blasted me over!

NOTE: the Museum exhibition will not be included in the tickets mentioned above. You can get your Museum Tickets at a fair price right at the location when you are there. More infos on the price comes soon.

    All my best,
    Mario

  36. Thanks Mario… I honestly dont even believe this fella was at the first event. Obviously just trying to start crap… which he has done on pretty much every post related to this event. Just ignore it and move on… and yes, when people get wind of the latest we are putting together, they arent going to want to miss this for the world!
