As the title suggests , I am curious as to what your favorite 2 F13 movies would be, if you were to watch them back to back. In order of course. Is it the classic 1/2 punch with Pam and Hillbilly? Or 2/3 with Hillbilly and Brooker, or maybe 6/7 Zombie combo? For me it is very difficult to choose, but Part 1 and Part 2 just seem to stand tall above the rest as my favorites, and tie together very well. Perhaps 3 and 4 are untouchable in this way because they truly DO become one un-interrupted story. So what are your favorite 2 Fridays?

To me it has to be 3 and 4. They really work well together.

For me it's Friday 6 and 7. Picking the first two would be to easy. Friday 6 jason lives I enjoyed the Humor and the whole Frankenstein angle. Pt 7 was Jason at his best. He looked great and who couldn't love the sleeping bag against the tree killing. Babe Ruth couldn't even match a hit like that.

I'd say 2-3. They just seemed like the smoothest transition to me.

For me it would be 2,3, and 4 because they all happen in the same month basically.

Instead of back to back we may have to go with trilogy. 2-4

That's a tough call. The first four are great back-to-back; they seem like part of one big story. Also, 4,5, and 6 form a trilogy of sorts. If I had to pare it down to two, I'd probably pick TFC and Jason Lives to watch together. Not that I don't like part 5 (I do), but part 6 picks up just fine from 4.

4-5 (but I really enjoy 4-7 as a set)

The bast Friday the13th movies are parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 & Freddy vs Jason. Part 3 is the 1 I enjoyed the most.

Oh lordy @ the above chap who didn't even read the post.

I'd have to go with 4-5 because they encapsulate a 'final' and a 'beginning' - pretty neat!

As a runner up. JGTH and JX make a neat 'high concept' double-feature!

Great suggestions guys. Not be be hatin on Part 5, but I do like the idea of 4/6 back to back. The final day of Jasons life, followed by his "re-birth" The two movies flow pretty good together even without Part 5 in between, and both films are truly solid entries in the series.

Not hatin on it at all imo :) The way I like to explain five is starting with the title "A New Beginning" cause that's really what it is. Tommy had just been through some damaging psychological trauma that obviously is going to mentally and emotionally take a toll on him (which it did). That innate fear that he has to wrestle with "What If?"..ya know? what if Jason really isn't dead and is out there looking for him? Hence the hallucinations he suffers from, because of a) the trauma he just suffered and b) the underlying fear which is consuming him. So it makes perfect sense that he was admitted to a halfway house for treatment on working through said issues.

I like your explanation to 4(his death) followed by 6 (his rebirth) in regards to Jason, but def think 5 is Tommy's film. A clear cut explanation is given by Matthew from Tommy's case file as to what the overall goal is. Then from there it just plays itself out.
