The first F.E.A.R. game started off generally excellent, but got pretty repetitive around the middle part of the game. I didn't bother with the subsequent games, but I'm interested to see what F.E.A.R. 3 will be like with John Carpenter on board.
Doom 3 was another FPS game that started off brilliant, but then got a little tedious later on. Still the graphics were great at the time.
Manhunt was brilliant and very disturbing (though the dialogue was little cheesy). I didn't like Manhunt 2, just found it very boring and way less disturbing than the original.
The first Alone in the Dark back in 1992 was very good, though I played it there again and found the controls very cumbersome! The first two Silent Hill games were brilliant way back when. I'd also give a big thumbs up for Resident Evil 2, 3 and especially 4 (this on the Wii was one of the best games I've ever played).
I loved Evil Dead Fistful of Boomstick, sure, it had it's problems, but it was great fun. I never played the first game and Regeneration was so-so, not the game I was hoping for.
