i get your point...its not something that id tell the studio, hey get a thing prequel made, but ill still watch it regardless, id rather watch a thing prequel, over a friday the 13th prequel, anyday.

No matter what so ever what every one says I for one really want to see a prequel to the original serise of Friday the 13th then a prequel to The Thing.

Dusk, you are spot on. Rob Bottin's make-up effects in the original will never be bettered in my opinion. From what can be gleaned from the trailer to the prequel it's going to be another CGI yawnfest. I'll watch it but I have no real enthusiasm for it.

Way too much time has passed for me to care about this prequel. I wanted a Carpenter sequel round about the same time the computer game came out and that never came to pass. Now I don't care anymore. If they make a mess of the preqeul, fine by me, though I hope it is as good as the original remake.

there will be some cg in it thats a given but they have said that they will definatly be using as much prostetics,anamatronics, and make up as possible
