I have dozens of avatars and the files are too big can someone help me on getting the right size avatar to post on my profile.

Hi biglou, it took me a while to figure out you were referring to the image file size not dimensions. Doh! I see the file size limit we had by default was too low so have now beefed it up, larger files and things like animated gifs should not be a problem.
