Biography: Not much biographical information is known about Mark Nelson. He has appeared in several films and made numerous guest appearance on TV, most notably as a therapist on Spin City. He never neglects his love for being on stage, however, and has appeared in many plays throughout the years, including, Cosmonaut, pictured below. Mark continues to work in the acting community.
"Mark directed all three incarnations of June Moon at the Ohio Theater (Lucille Lortel award, Best revival), the McCarter Theater and Off-Broadway at the Variety Arts. For Portland Stage Company he directed Sight Unseen by Donald Margulies.
His recent acting work includes the role of 'Einstein' in Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapine Agile (Obie Award, Drama Desk nomination), 'Morris' in As Bees in Honey Drown by Douglas Carter Beane, and 'Andrei' in Three Sisters at the Roundabout." - DramaDept.org
Update: "Mark received an Obie Award in 1996 for Best Actor in Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapine Agile, and was named Best Actor by critics in L.A., San Francisco and Miami. He won the 2006 Connecticut Critics Circle Award for the one-man show Underneath the Lintel."
